One major goal achieved with some other updates

Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,

As everyone can see I have made my last post almost a month back and the main reason behind that was to shift from Karachi to new place which I mentioned in one of my previous posts. I was going to either shift in Dubai or Islamabad this summer and ALHUMDULLILAH finally I decided and moved to Islamabad this month.

I visited Islamabad earlier too, did survey before finally shifting on permanent basis. I found this better place for my family’s future. Recently we bought new house and a hybrid car Prius Tommykaira 2011 for which I wanted to share some pictures with you all.

So far 1 goal has been achieved and I will try my best to achieve remaining 4 goals within this year although I know it will be difficult because while shifting and all I got slowed down in buying as well as selling domains. I will try my level best to publish posts more regularly from next month as I need toΒ have some more time to sort out remaining stuff.

During this migration, I sold another domain but this time it was in four figures πŸ˜‰Β The domain name wasΒ which was sold for $4,000 through DNS broker Brooke. Thanks to Brooke for constantly keeping in touch with the buyer and wrap up the deal on time and when required exactly. Many thanks to too for helping in closing this deal very smoothly. I can never ask for anything better at as they are simply the best.

Thanks to ALLAH Almighty who showed us right path and we moved to a far better place.

As I am new in this city, any of you from Islamabad/Rawalpindi may contact me if you wish to.

  1. Congratulations Abdul. Wishing you and your family a bright and happy future in Islamabad!

  2. Daniel Pfanzagl says:

Congrats Abdul, am sure it was an exciting process to move. Imho better to still stay in your own country if you have got family and bonds/connections instead of moving really out to Dubai.

    • AbdulBasit says:

      Many thanks Daniel πŸ™‚
Yes, it was really exciting but not an easy thing to do yeah πŸ˜‰
We have no relatives here in Islamabad but still a plus point in moving inside the country. Although in past I have lived 10 years in Dubai but staying in our own country is still the best thing if there is any better option available like Islamabad.

  3. Tauseef says:

    Congrats AbdulBasit,
All looks good, hope to see you again in action. Moving is difficult but don’t worry, with sometime it will be better.
RockTools looks brandable and I feel it went for low. Anyway, sale is important and you did it.

    • AbdulBasit says:

      Thanks Tauseef πŸ™‚
I completely agree with you on Rocktools sale price. But wanted to make a quick sale for which the price was okay.

  4. Noor Manji says:

Congrats on the move, has Karachi become that bad now? I will be in KHI in July/Aug. I personally feel that Islamabad is a much better option than Dubai.

    Good Luck.

    • AbdulBasit says:

      Thanks Noor πŸ™‚
Unfortunately it’s getting worse every day. Not at all safe place to live. Yes, I too feel Islamabad is overall better place to live than Dubai. Yes, Dubai is more hitech and fun but that’s not we have come into this world. There are lot of other necessary things to do and we must not forget the purpose of coming into this world πŸ™‚

  5. Ali says:

    Congratulations AbdulBasit.
In which sector you settled and what was the final price of house ?

Anyways best wishes for the future and i completely agree with Tauseef. could sell for more.

  6. carledgar says:

    Isn’t Dubai more fun?

    • AbdulBasit says:

True but the main reason to move inside the country was something different which will be disclosed in coming years…

Arabs are not at all good. They are the most rudest and greedy people on planet.

  7. AbdulBasit,
Congrats for your successful relocation! πŸ™‚
Hope you are feeling safer in your new place.
    Take care!

    • AbdulBasit says:

      Thanks Andrea πŸ™‚
Yes, this is far better place by many aspects and I can feel happier future of my family πŸ™‚

Hope you are having good time πŸ™‚

May HE Bless you and your beloved ones in this new stage of your life, Guide and Enlighten your path towards khayr and barakah.

note: Just got my hand on an autobiography of Abdul Sattar Edhi .. wow.

NB: Bhai not all arabs are the same please amend it, some are good and some are bad.

    • AbdulBasit says:

Thanks Arif for your kind words πŸ™‚
That’s good to know you have got an autobiography of Abdul Sattar Edhi. He is great man working for humanity.

I fully agree with you that not all Arabs are same and I never said about ALL but that actually means most of the Arabs. It goes for our people here in Pakistan too. Not all can be bad at the same time πŸ™‚ Sorry if I created any confusion Arif πŸ™‚

  9. Assalamo Alaikum. Mubarak and Allah khair kare aap ke neak irade pe. Ameen.

  10. Richard Hearne says:

This is excellent news, and great to see that you and your family are enjoying the fruits of your work. There’s no better reason to work hard than to take care of one’s family.

I hope I can ask a question of you regarding DNS – are you setting your own pricing or are the DNS people helping with that AbdulBasit?

  11. Ram says:

    Congrats @Abdul.

    Both looks great. Enjoy.

  15. Rod says:

    Hi Abdul,

I wish you and your family happy times in your new place.

Can I ask a personal question please? πŸ™‚

Did you buy your new house and the car from the money you made out of domaining totally?

    • AbdulBasit says:

      Thanks Rod πŸ™‚

I made 99% of money from domain business and I really love this business. So you can say that I bought car and house through domains income πŸ˜€

  16. Ali says:

    I am inspired! πŸ™‚

  17. Omar Negron says:

    Wow Abdul!

Look at you bro. So happy for you. You probably had no idea but you are a HUGE inspiration to what we do with domains. Love your post and your advice.

Congrats on your incredible achievements. I wish you MUCH MORE success in the future.

  18. Azam says:

Congrats Abdul! Allah bless you forever! May Allah reward you in this world and in the Hereafter.
And about arabs, i know many arabs with the best hand, and I think that in general, the Arabs are some of the best people on the planet πŸ™‚

    • AbdulBasit says:

Thanks Azam for your kind words and feedback. Highly appreciate that πŸ™‚

I have lived in UAE for 10 long years and found Arabs being the most rudest and greedy people on planet. They have plenty of money and are wasting more than spending at right places. This doesn’t mean I am talking about all but here I say for most locals.

      • Azam says:

You lived there, and you know better. The people of Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, i know how very simple and kind people in the majority.

  19. Omair says:

    Hello Abdul Basit,

Congrats on the 2 big achievements. Wish you more success in times to come.

I was looking to buy a Prius myself & use it as a first car. Would you recommend it? Any major issues & how much is the mileage?

I have over 150 domains myself but I have yet to get serious about selling them. Reading your blog made me realize that few of them might get me good returns if I can sell them. Will appreciate your advise.

    Thank you in advance.

    • AbdulBasit says:

      Thanks Omair πŸ™‚
Yeah, that’s a nice car and overall it’s great.

Can’t give any advice for your domains without having a look at them. Kindly send me an email along with the list of your names.

      Good luck!

  20. Victor says:

WOW, nice house and car you got there. I wish you all the best in your new place.

  21. Paolo says:

This post is really more inspiring than the Mike Mann sales or other big in the industry. Abdul show that hard work pay for the effort spent also for normal people. Wise move in Islamabad only the best for you. Bye from your Italian friend Pablohc86

  22. Aamir says:

Dear Abdul, congrats on your achievements and I hope the moving was a smooth one. I was in Karachi during March but it was a short trip. Inshallah, will try to catch up with you in Islamabad. Keep up the good work.

    • AbdulBasit says:

Thanks Aamir for your kind words and I hope everything is going smooth at your end as well specially with your domain selling πŸ™‚

IN SHA ALLAH hopeful to meet you soon. Let me know whenever you are here in Islamabad.
