Moved all domains to NamePros lander

Hello everyone,

After moving all my domains to Efty.com, except the 3L .com for which I’m using DaaZ.com lander, I’ve moved all of them to NamePros lander. One of the domains you may check is Beechtree.com

I tried Efty lander for a little over a month and it was a good experience. But because I wanted to try and see which one works well, I’m now trying NamePros lander. Efty provided great support especially Doron who did his best to guide and explain anything I needed, they’ve got plenty of nice features and lander options to choose from. They even have Smart Landers to create your own. I even used EftyPay but unfortunately I cannot disclose any details about the domain name but it was a surprising sale. Doron helped in settling this transaction very smoothly and professionally for which I’m very much thankful for him and his services.

Coming back to NamePros lander, it’s been around 10 days since I’m using it. No doubt the support is great and NP are always happy to listen and implement any necessary feature in order to make the experience better for both domain owners and visitors coming on the lander. I plan to continue using NamePros lander for the time being and will give one suggestion to the NamePros team and that’s to build lander stuff completely unlinked from the NamePros forum. Although NamePros support said that they’re separate services, so if my forums’ account were to be closed, my parking/lander account would still operate normally. They’re managed separately so the closure of one does not affect the other. This was good to hear but I would still prefer my parking/lander and NamePros forum account to be separated.

They’ve a better email verification system as no IP addresses are blocked unlike at Efty due to which some genuine emails also don’t come in order to verify. That’s why I kept email verification disabled at Efty but enabled at NamePros. Also, another nice feature which NamePros have is BANT qualification. Visitors must answer questions about their BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to help you prioritize opportunities and assess domain value, based on this sales framework. By default, you’ll only be notified after these questions are answered, but you can choose to be notified beforehand. I haven’t enabled this feature because I don’t feel the need for it.

Overall, I’m inclined towards NamePros lander more and plan to continue using it.

Thanks a lot Basit for sharing your experience with Efty and now NamePros landers, it’s always interesting to see real-world tests like this. At the end of the day though, for a domainer the only metric that really matters is the net profit across all sales (total net after fees), not just how good the support or features feel. After this small experiment, have you compared your net results between: Afternic/GoDaddy landers Efty landers NamePros landers over similar time periods? In other words: total number of sales average sale price total commissions/fees and final net you keep in your pocket… Read more »

It’d be great to know at some point how the total delisting from Afternic affected sales — both the number and the dollar volume. I imagine there are two scenarios on the table, and they heavily depend on the type of domains in one’s portfolio: domain is “unavailable” in the GoDaddy regpath → a serious buyer checks what’s there, sees it’s for sale, and reaches out directly, or domain is “unavailable” in the GoDaddy regpath → the buyer walks away… I’m truly curious which outcome is statistically more common. That’s the inquiry stage only. Closing of agreed sales can be a different thing — as much as domainers don’t like GoDaddy and their high commission, and maybe there are remarks to GoDaddy brokers, the fact is that buyers worldwide trust GoDaddy. Escrow.com isn’t as well known compared to GoDaddy, even in the US. Plus, GoDaddy checkout is so straightforward for everyone — and I’m not talking about domainers, but end-user buyers who generally have no idea about the industry, escrow, transfers, etc.

I like how NamePros separates the part where the user enters their information. On my landers (look at red.ca) I also separated my landing page and inquiry page. This way I can see in my Umami Webstats how many people have landed on the lander, which is an OK metric, but I can also see who clicked through to the inquiry page which shows a higher interest. I can then see which city, what operating system, what device size, how long the visit etc. So as good as landers are the more information gets into ones hands the better it… Read more »

Yep, when a seller chooses to enable BANT qualification, we do exactly what you suggested: start with a simple form and then require the advanced form after that.

Nice that you the real DOMAIN MAN (you have many domains )that try other platforms and you have the data to prove which one is beneficial.

Congratulations to the newest destination, NamePros.com lander. It is really a bold, risky attempt as NP lander is not that popular yet, but if the names are really attractive, valuable, then getting buyers are not an issue. We will be curiously waiting your updates on your sales experience through NP Landers.

A bit under the radar, but NamePros Landers were launched in 2023 and have been in development for about 3 years, with lots of big sales and use by domain brokers on Escrow.com’s Masters of Domains.

We have a lot of exciting things still to come. Looking forward to sharing them with everyone soon.

Landers alone will not move the needle. The people who consistently win combine landers with a clear brand presence. Rick Schwartz does this through DomainKing, which functions as his lander. Digimedia does the same through Digimedia.com, Nat Choen does that through Telepathy.com, and so forth. I wasn’t referring to brand recognition. I was speaking about branding, meaning what a buyer understands before they make an inquiry. On NamePros landers and most generic landers, they come in cold. There is no narrative or context, often not even a price range. Compare that to LEGA.com or DGTL.com. The flow, the framing, the process, and the way the discussion is set up before the inquiry all shape the expectations and outcomes. It’s disappointing to see Afternic facing yet another round of outages. A 504 Gateway Time-out across all listed domains is more than a temporary inconvenience—it directly impacts visibility, sales opportunities, and confidence in the platform. For a marketplace of this size, consistent stability should be a fundamental priority. These recurring issues make it increasingly difficult to rely on the service, and it’s crucial that Afternic addresses the root causes to restore trust for sellers who depend on dependable performance.

We currently have over 10,000 domains listed on Afternic, and for the last 20 days we haven’t seen a single sale. This looked unusual enough that I started researching what might be happening, and I found several similar reports on NamePros. One domainer mentioned having zero Afternic sales for 30 days despite having 7,000+ names listed (including thousands of .coms) while still receiving regular offers and sales on Dan.
