Hello everyone,
I think this month is going quite nice in terms of domain sales for me. Recently I sold another domain but this time in high four figures. Unfortunately I cannot disclose the domain once again but I can give you some hint on what type of domain it was… It was like lllGroup.com. Now that LLL I mentioned is just an example. The one I sold contained random letters but all premium. By the way, this domain was sold through DomainNameSales.com. My second domain sale through their platform. It’s really easy and smooth to handle inquiries with their platform.
I think it was a nice sale keeping random 3 letters along with the word “group” at the end. I always think if you have quality domains with the word group at the end would do nice because endusers which is group of companies won’t offer you cheap bucks. But still make sure to find, research and buy quality domains.
Let me tell you the most interesting thing about this domain. It was actually bought by a company several years back for low four figures and once they closed their business the domain was dropped and grabbed by me couple of years back or so…
The price I paid for this domain was in decent three figures and I feel the ROI is quite nice.
Just to give my suggestion that don’t rush and invest in random lllGroup.com domain because there are tons of available so make sure whatever you wish to acquire, first research, analyze and try to get at wholesale price if that’s already registered by some reseller.
Have you sold any domain recently? Care to share in detail? Also what do you think of my recent sale whether I got good money or left some money on table 😉
AbdulBasit,
Congrats! You’ve not only shared your recent domain sale transaction but also a great tip on how a good 3 letter domain clubbed with a keyword ‘Group’ can fetch you top dollars.
As you’re aware that at my blog I’m analyzing 3 letter domains daily and this experience is teaching me how important they are to established businesses.
Anyway, looking forward to reading more such ‘domain sales’ news at your blog.
Irfan
Thanks very much Irfan.
IMO it was a good sale and got good money for it. However, I have couple more for which I expect to have sale in similar range in future 😉
Yeah, I have gone through your blog an your 3 letters analyzing will help me once I will start acquiring LLL.com as right now I have zero LLL.com domains. Although I have LNL.com but those don’t have value as compare to LLL.com domains.
Many more sales to come and will share with you all so stay tuned 🙂
Once again thanks for coming and commenting 🙂
Hi AbdulBasit,
nice sale!
I also own a couple of LLLGroup.com with high quality letters.
I’m just curious, did you sell it to a company which was using the LLL part with a lower tld or what? (if you can disclose it, of course) I mean, to a company previously using a name like LLL.net in our example, LLLgroup.net or a different .com name structure, like LLLinc.com, LLL-inc.com, LLL-group.com?
Thanks you!
Have a nice day! 🙂
Andrea
Andrea, Thanks for coming and commenting. Really appreciate it 🙂
Actually they owned the same LLL but with different word next to their LLL. So they preferred to buy that LLLgroup. I mean replaced their word with “group”. I don’t generally invest in hyphen domains until they are too good to leave 🙂
AbdulBasit,
Thanks for your answer, I appreciated 🙂
I don’t invest at all in hyphenated names, it was just to understand if the buyer was using that kind of name or something different, and this last was the case, as you confirmed.
Take care!
Andrea
You’re always welcome. Feel free to shoot me any question either through comment of contact link and I will be happy to answer them.
Good luck 🙂
Congratulations for sale, but i would have been more happy if you could have share full domain name.
Thanks Prashant. Unfortunately I can’t disclose this name for now. But may be in future. But I would suggest once again to carefully invest in lllGroup.com domains. It must have premium letters rather than non-premium letters in it. Such type of names are not easy to sell and have to hold for quite some time before they change hands…
