Parking revenue at aka for April 2013

Parking revenue at aka for April 2013

Hello everyone,

As I mentioned in previous month’s parking revenue that I am hoping to have a better April in terms of PPC earnings. I was dead right. There was lot of improvement compare to the previous month. Well, I made somewhat near to US$350 but didn’t hit this mark. Also the best day was 30th April where I made US$20 in one complete day for all my domain names.

I added may be 5-10 new domains every month with so the earnings reflect accordingly. Although my intentions are not to buy domains solely for PPC purpose. I am more inclined towards selling my domains to end-users. But until the domain is not sold, it’s been parked with DNS platform and makes additional revenue which is a great thing.

Overall, I would say I am satisfied with how it’s going and hope to have better month next time 😉

Your feedback is welcome 🙂 Also how was your month (April) in terms of PPC revenue?

Thanks Mohammed Sameeruddin 🙂 Hope to have every new month better than previous one 😉

Would you like to share your parking stats for the previous month?

Wow congrats, that is a good result. I make somewhere around 10 Euro a month. Do you have any experience with parking them at Sedo?

    • AbdulBasit says:

Taytay, thanks. 10 Euro p/month is not bad. It all depends on how much domains these 10 Euros are made. I just read on a forum where a guy says he own 900 domains and make $5-10 p/month. Now that’s too bad considering the total number of domains compare to the revenue.

Sedo parking is worst. They will pay you in pennies. Dump that company for parking your domains. Try,,

Thanks for the heads up. Will defo be dumping Sedo when I reach my payout limit (very soon). DNS sounds promising and it seems you have had a lot success with it.

        • AbdulBasit says:

Good idea to dump Sedo. Yeah, I have tried several parking companies (minimum 6) and among all so far the best is DNS. I haven’t tried yet but have heard it’s pays well. Let me know which one you tries and share your experience about the parking company.

Keep coming and reading. Most importantly, you can subscribe to newsletter. Normally I post once a week 🙂

Nice to know you make this much but I see it depends on the quality of your domains or name catching keyword domains. Its good to have you bookmarked.

  5. Meik says:

If I may ask Addul, how many domains do you have parked to generate this much?Maybe I can take a cue from you.

    • AbdulBasit says:

You are right. It all depends on the quality of domain names as well as top dollars paying niche. I am glad you have bookmarked this blog 🙂

I have almost 200 domains currently parked with DNS. Not all domains make money though.

  6. AbdulBasit says:

Exactly. Most of them are through type-ins. I have very few domains with previous backlinks. But the right niche has to match with that type-in domain to generate good revenue. I have a domain which gets 30-40 clicks daily but that domain barely makes $1. All traffic on that domain is purely type-in.

    • taytay says:

Great thanks for the response. How would I monetize typo traffic domains? I heard that domainnamesales doesn’t accept them.

  7. AbdulBasit says:

To be honest I don’t invest in typo domains. But I think they do accept typo domains but they must be clean from any trademark/legal issues. The thing is they won’t create your account on the basis of typo domains. First you will need to submit top quality type-in domains to get in. Once you are there, feel free to submit any domain no matter what’s the quality. I have seen many low quality domains approved by DNS and I am sure the owner of those domains have added under their account once they got in there 🙂

As always feel free to ask anything 🙂

    Hi Abdul,
I want to ask as a newbie even if I have bought few domains but have some cash to invest but taking my time so I don’t invest wrongly. When one hand registers,do you advise that one should pay for 2 yrs so the domain doesn’t expire too early if it doesn’t draw buyers or you simply advise one to just hand register for just one year and then renew when the time comes? Please help explain better so I can go ahead and get more.

  9. AbdulBasit says:

    Dear Meik,

As of today there aren’t much good domains left for hand register. Normally I invest in expired domains which are pre-released through auction process. For example at GoDaddy Auctions, NameJet, SnapNames. Also you can try to acquire domains through the domain owners by contacting them directly. I would suggest you to avoid buying hand-register domains as they have very minimal value.

As far as renewals are concerned, I always renew my best domains for 4-5 years in advance. Also the domains which I never intent to sell for example is renewed till 2023.

My suggestion for your hand-register domains is to keep renew for 1 year at max and go through your portfolio every month to analyze what you are going to do so before it hits the expiry you will know what are the results for this domain in the whole year. Whether to leave or keep for 1 more year 🙂

Thank you so much Abdul.I truly appreciate your response.
