It was quite slow month in terms of parking revenue as well as domain inquiries received. I thought it would be a better month since summer holidays have gone and will start seeing some activity but that wasn’t the case last month. Mark from DomainPicks.com was in the same boat as well.
One of my revenue making domain from PPC has declined in the last month and I can see the revenue will be drop a bit more for that particular domain which will have somehow affect on my overall parking revenue. It doesn’t matter much personally but I just wanted to share it. However, I was able to make over US$400 for September 2013. My target was to reach $1,000 for the month of Dec ’13 / Jan ’14 but that seems quite far away. I am still happy the way I am going because my main focus is to buy and sell domains and make side income from them through parking unless they are sold to the right person.
On the other hand, I have been contacted by DomainNameSales.com team member who informed me about the new features and after discussing with him I enabled the dead lead follow-up feature where all the hardworking and intelligent brokers from DNS team giving their 100% on each of my domain inquiries which are not active for the past 30 days. It was really amazing to see that I had received hundreds of inquiries since I have joined them.
If you have your domains parked with DNS and get decent number of inquiries than I would suggest you to enable this follow up service which you can find under your control panel click settings on top and auto assignment, old lead management. From there you can select 30 days, 45 and 60 days. I have selected 30 days which seems good for me.
Although I haven’t done any sale with this follow up feature but it looks really good to see inquirers are responding well and since we have enabled at the end of previous month so it may take some time to get clear picture.
