Before I come to the actual post, I wanted to give heads up to everyone that recently I’ve started offering domain consulting services. If anyone is interested, feel free to check this out.
Today I’m very excited to share the acquisitions of some ultra premium .CO domains which took me several months of negotiation and finally ended up with buying the following domains:
Business.CO – This domain was once sold for $80,000 in 2011 and there was a lot of buzz around it. One of the best keywords to own. As per DotDB, this keyword ranks at #47 from the most registered number of extension counts.
News.CO – I believe this is another fantastic domain which was once sold for $50,000 back in 2011. and great to own in .CO extension. As per DotDB, this keyword ranks at #32 from the most registered number of extension counts. By the way, I’ve this .CO the best in terms of number of extension counts.
Finance.CO – After Business.CO and News.CO, this is my 3rd best .CO domain under my portfolio as well as from this list. This domain was previously sold for $45,000.
Below are the rest of the .CO domains I acquired and I don’t really feel the need to write commentary along with each domain. Although I don’t need to share for the above 3 domains as well but I’m just thrilled to share my excitement 😀

Fast forward to 2020, I can tell you one thing that I paid little less than Business.CO (which sold for $80,000 in 2011) for ALL the above domains I’ve recently acquired. And that too in 2020 when the .CO market is booming.
ALL of the above domains except Fish.CO and Merchant.CO were acquired privately and were transferred to my account first before I made the payment.
On the other hand, I added a handful of 3L .CO domains which I believe do always good if bought at the right price and combination.

Definitely international. As the domains are listed for sale, anyone from anywhere can buy. Also I’ve seen the .CO endusers are from worldwide and not restricted to Colombia only.
Acquired demonstrator.co for less than $2. It’s possible to buy it for $700 in January, 2021.
Not too good but not bad for $2.

Considering I’ve had less than 100 .CO domains until I acquired the recent domains shared in the post. I see they’re regularly selling in low-mid 4 figures to endusers.

Certainly some great keyword’s in there Abdul, for a very good collective price which I think over time you will do well with. I think for many directory or lead generation businesses these can be great branding vehicles. Their brevity is particularly appealing. Not really. The main reason is the asking price which is pretty high for investors and reasonable for endusers.
it’s time to move away from this ancient legacy domains and looks towards handshake, ens, unstoppable domains and the likes.

Great acquisitions only if purchased at right prices which I believe are still quite expensive! Agree with you that it is much better to have one-word .co’s otherwise should always use .com’s for two words. However, I managed to sell TrueName.co for $395 last year (registered for just $1). I still have some .co’s such as Backdoors.co, Blockr.co, FabFour.co, Hosepipe.co, Koozy.co. Landbot.co, Maskey.co, Mowbot.co, Twwez.co & WFHData.co – all registered for just $1 each. On the other hand, I am happy to tell you that I now have StateTeller.com & TruthBonds.com following your recent sale of TruthTeller.com for $19,888!
So in your opinion, what’s the fair price I should’ve paid for those domains if little less than 80K for all of them is quite expensive?

We often focus on the big one word .com sales, but most people don’t realize the work and time put in to acquire ulta premium names in another well-known extension like.co

It depends on the combinations but if it’s random 3L .CO domain, then paying around $300 is reasonable wholesale price.
