As I promised in one of my previous post for sharing my next domain sale with complete detail with no hiding and here you go!

Couple of months back I won a domain CuppyCakes.com for $224 and received some inquiries which were well below my expectations. However, last month in April I got an initial offer of $750 for which I countered with much higher price.

The person got back with giving me Estibot appraisal value for that domain which was $1,900 at that time. Here I am saying “at that time” because I have seen Estibot/Valuate changing their appraisal value for domains which get reportedly sold so they might change the appraisal price in future. Useless appraisal sites I tell you…

I informed the guy that people who have good knowledge about domains don’t take these valuation sites seriously. We have sold domains in five figures which these valuation sites have given $500. Also provided him the weekly sales report DnJournal and NameBio for past sales which can give better idea on value of domains.

A week later I sent reminder asking if there is any better offer he would like to present against my quoted price and received new offer of $5,000 which wasn’t bad for a $224 investment. I gleefully accepted the offer and initiated the transaction at Escrow.com

The domain was parked at DomainNameSales.com for the last couple of months. Got 3-4 inquiries total including this one which finished as successful sale. The payment was made swiftly and everything went smooth.

This is my 100th published post so please congratulate me 😉

As you can read in one of my previous post where I mentioned of holding domains instead of selling them for quick cash. I want to squeeze out maximum money from each domain so that I don’t regret later on for selling it for lower price.

Just a few days back I was able to successfully sell another domain with DomainNameSales.com broker Phillip Hutauruk. The lead was from GoDaddy. The communication and the way Phillip Hutauruk handled the deal was really nice and I appreciate that. Although there was 20% commission but still I made good money on that. The domain was .com and it’s small town in Europe. It was sold for $7,500.

The same time I received email from broker at Afternic wanting the same domain. I knew it would be same buyer. The max offer from Afternic was $4k.

Once the domain was transferred to buyer’s account I am unable to see for what purpose he bought it. I will keep an eye on that.

I would recommend everyone to use Domain Name Syndication option at DomainNameSales.com which definitely increases the number of inquiries and chances of selling more domains.

Any feedback is welcome no matter how good or good they are 😉

As mentioned in my previous post about my recent domain sale for which I would like to share little bit of. It was CVCV.net bought in 3 figs and sold for 4 figs. Not a big sale at all but still I was happy to fetch money for a .net domain I was not hoping to sell that so quickly. I mean .net are slow and selling CVVC.net in four figs is something nice. This CVCV was a name of person as well. Unfortunately I won’t be disclosing the domain for some reasons.

But let me tell you one interesting thing which for me is really a big achievement. I am getting over 40 genuine domain inquiries each month but as you can see I have sold just one domain this year. The main reason behind that is to get maximum $$$$ I can fetch and/or with the team of DomainNameSales.com. Right now I am in the position of holding my inventory for quite some time even I don’t make any quick cash and still buying out domain names.

Generally I don’t invest in LLLL.net domains but this was nice looking CVCV.net and bought last year. I just checked my portfolio and found that I have few more CVCV.net domains.

As you know I have already enabled the feature of domain syndication with DomainNamesSales.com so I can receive inquiries through GoDaddy and DomainTools which are automatically forwarded to DNS team and if the domain is sold the commission of DNS is fixed 20%.

The interesting thing about this deal was I received email from Phillip Hutauruk, Domain Broker from DomainNameSales.com as what I am asking for this domain because they had an interested buyer for it. I simply replied with giving 100% freehand to ask any amount he thinks is worth and can sell it!

Just after 3 days I got an update from their transfer specialist the domain being sold for $x,xxx and I can proceed by simply pushing the domain to their GD account. The rest formalities were completed in next couple of days.

I am quite happy with the price domain sold for and they deserves 20% commission because they make the process so swiftly and keep things crystal clear.

Normally I provide them my asking price or get their suggestion based on which we decide what to ask but for very few domains I just toy around and see what will be the outcome.

Another thing I liked about them is the faith they had in me. They could have stop moving forward before getting price from me but they simply moved on when I gave them green signal to ask any amount they think my domain is worth of.

Hats off to Phillip Hutauruk, Helki Weber (domain transfer specialist) and the entire DNS team for being so friendly and keeping things very simply.

My first domain sale was not a .COM!

To start from scratch I would like to share my first domain sale with you. It was August 2009 when I sold Argentina (DOT) .cc for US$740. I actually bought the domain at reg fee in December 2008. Not a big number though but still a motivational sale for a newbie domainer that particular period of time. As stated in my earlier posts I was focusing mostly on .cc domains so definitely chances were more bright for selling a .cc domain as compare to a very few .com domains I owned.

As everyone knows the excitement of selling your first domain name who have sold at least one domain name.

In my next post I will share my first five figure sale which was a more exciting to me as compare to my first domain sale because of the high profit I got through that sale.
