Many time I receive emails from resellers asking me about buying their names, and almost all the domains are junk. I noticed few things whenever I got these kind of emails that senders are having either yahoo.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com addresses which doesn’t look professional for a person working in domain industry.

In my experience if you use your own domain name for sending email to end-users would look perfect and more professional. I am currently using @AbdulBasit.com for sending emails which gives the impression to the potential buyer that I am in the field of domaining from long time. Also you must be careful in selecting the domain from which you are sending the emails. For example it should not be @xxddg.com or something which gives not so impressive look to end-user while reading out the domain.

If you own a .com of your name or have a company domain name than it’s the best option to go with. To look more authoritative in eyes of end-users you can use the domain which is aged. This shows of being the seller in this domain game for long time and won’t be a scam email.
