Parking revenue for June 2014 and other updates

Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,

I am always doing test and trial with my parked domains by changing the categories/sub-categories and see if the revenue increases. Most of the time I face decline which is not an issue because this is how we all learn and gain good/bad experiences. Last month June 2014 was the same case where the revenue dropped compare to the month of May 2014. Below is some of the parking stats which might be helpful to you in some way…

Total visitors – 95,000+

Total clicks – 4,900+

Total parked domains – 675

Total revenue – $630

Top niche which made the most – Games

$$ made on a single day – $65

RPM – $6

If you have checked the May 2014 revenue than you must have noticed that even after adding around 25 domains the revenue still dropped. As you know my goal is to reach $1,000 in parking revenue and that time I must be having 1,000 domains under my belt which means I am aiming to make $1 per domain every month on an average.

So looking at the above figures, I am behind my target and needs to keep the number of domains and revenue to be the same. Won’t mind if the revenue increases against the number of domains in my portfolio 😉

On the other side, I have been parking max 5 domain with Bodis and received an announcement from them which I thought to share with you.

“We are excited to announce that, starting this July, we will be processing our users’ payments even faster than before. As you know, we are constantly trying to improve our platform and our service. Therefore, we have decided to spend additional resources to process user payouts on our new NET 7 payment terms. That means that you will be paid out even faster from now on – in just one week after the end of a month.

We hope you are as excited about this as we are. If you have any questions regarding this change, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Bodis Support at support@bodis.com.

Sincerely,

The Bodis Team”

I think it’s good news for domainers who are using Bodis as their primary parking platform. Nothing big for me as I have parked very few domains with Bodis because they are banned by Google and DomainNameSales.com doesn’t pay that well for those names. Although they promised to make changes in future but I haven’t tried to park those domains at DNS recently. If any of you have parked Google banned domains with DNS and seen spike in revenue just let us know.

That’s it for now. Feel free to post a comment or suggestion if you have any. I will happily take it 🙂

January and February 2014 domain parking revenue updates

Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,January-and-February-2014-domain-parking-revenue-updates

I just forgot to post the January revenue stats so I decided to put two months update together.

It’s been quite nice start off to new year for me. Didn’t sold a domain until last week (for which I will make a separate post) this month but was still happy with how things were going. Parking revenue is getting better as I am adding more domains to my portfolio all the time. As mentioned in one of my previous posts I have now over 500 domains and for the last two months January and February 2014 I am making over $500 p/month.

So now I can see the consistency in parking revenue quite a bit because when there is revenue in $500 range for the last 3 months there is some consistency but this must be growing because I am always adding some domains every month to my portfolio. Still my buying strategy is to buy domains which can sold down the road at high profit and don’t care if there is not much type-in traffic because I want to make big chunk out of that domain instead of making pennies every day. It looks like this strategy is paying off well to me slowly but steadily…

Any comments and feedback is welcome no matter how good or good they are 😉

A tip to get better valuation/appraisal of your domains

A-tip-to-get-better-valuation-appraisal-of-your-domains-for-freeHello and Assalamo Alaikum,

I am sure most of us are aware of domain valuation tools like Valuate.com, Estibot.com, DomainIndex.com and there are many more out there. In my opinion all these are simply time waste and nonsense.

Today I am going to share a way to get your domains valuated and I am sure you guys will agree that the valuation you will get will be much more satisfying compare to the above crappy sites.

Currently I am parking 99% of my domain portfolio with DomainNameSales.com and so far I am more than happy with their team members and featured pack control panel for their partners.

Since they have come out with follow up feature I mentioned earlier which is really good and I am quite impressed with their follow up and communication skill. Once my domain inquiries get inactive for 30 days than it’s forwarded to DNS team and they play their own role in order to make the lead successful. Also the inquiries received from DomainTools and GoDaddy are automatically forwarded to them. The only difference is commission structure which is 12.5% and 20% respectively.

After responding to several broker emails about what price I am looking for I decided to throw the dice back to them and see what they have to say about my domains. I was surprised to see their quote suggestions for my domains. Most of the time it was in five figures and they simply do not give you suggestion about price but also let you know why they think it’s worth $x,xxx or $xx,xxx.

That gives you more authoritative and almost perfect valuation for your domains because the team of DNS/Frank Schilling is well trained and vastly experienced in this field.

Those crappy valuation sites won’t give you the info. Not even Afternic, Sedo where you need to pay to get your domain valuated will present you the true valuation because they want to make sale as quickly as possible and take away their commission whereas I have clearly noticed about DNS team they are very much honest in giving their suggestion. They won’t try to lure you into making quick sale.

It’s been couple of months or more since I am trying collaborate with their team and unfortunately not made a single successful deal with the help of them. That doesn’t make me disappointed as they are trying their best. The thing I am trying to say is even there has been no sale with the help of them they still valuate the domains like it’s done for the portfolio of Frank Schilling.

I salute the entire team of DNS for their hard work, dedication and proper guidance. Always pleasure doing business with them.

Please note that I am not trying to influence anyone here to use DNS simply for valuation of their domains but this tip can be handy at times. I personally use only when I feel I need some guidance/assistance as to what I should ask from the potential buyer.

Feel free to comment on whether you find this helpful or not. No matter how good or good they are simply shoot one 😉

December 2013 parking revenue and other updates

happy-new-year-and-December-2013-parking-revenue-and-other-updatesHello and Assalamo Alaikum,

I hope everyone having great time spending their holidays. I was unable to make any post for almost a month as I was on vacation with my family to Murree (Hill station in Pakistan) trip and I came back yesterday. I will share the pictures in my next post.

It was a nice month in terms of parking revenue as we made well over $500. I predicted couple of things in the past which were to make $1,000 in parking at the end of this year which unfortunately wasn’t achieved. Secondly, I was going to have 500 domains at the same time which was accomplished right on time.

After doing intensive research I came to the conclusion of making $1,000 in parking each month and will have 850-900 domains at the end of 2014.

December was the slowest month of the year in terms of receiving domain inquiries. The only reason comes to my mind is holidays and holidays. That didn’t stop me from acquiring some more domains which I did in the past few weeks or so…

Fabos.com – Short and brandable domain. Looks short of fabulous and only 5 characters.

Famlee.com – Another brandable domain for family related niche.

BeachGolfClub.com – Normally I don’t invest in 3 word domains but this is a nice name IMO and thanks to Name.com for catching this dropping domain for me.

RedPackaging.com – Brandable domain for any packaging company.

NwEvent.com – Northwest comes to my mind when I see this and Google result does agree with me.

Saladi.com – I am quite addicted towards first and last names because I see good future as more and more people coming online and they will definitely need their first or last name in .com so grab it before everything is gone.

Knobbs.com – Same as above.

We at AbdulBasit.com want to thank everyone for all your support from the start of this blog and without your positive feedback, criticism and comments this would never been an easy task. We wish all of you a vigorous, joyful and flourishing New Year!

Parking revenue for October and November 2013

Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,

Since there was some issue at DomainNameSales platform in updating the parking revenue so I was unable to publish my parking $$$ for October. However, there wasn’t much changed. I don’t see much improvement though but there was consistency in revenue for the past several months. We made over US$800 for the last two months which isn’t bad but I am hopeful to see some improvement in coming time.

In September 2013 our portfolio generated almost similar amount so nothing much changed in this regard.

Care to share how was your parking revenue in recent times? Any feedback is welcome.
