Hello everyone,
My last acquisition post was published in May 2018 and it was surprising to see how quickly time flies. So let’s share some of the recent past acquisitions in the last few months.
I think the only hand registered domain of 2018 I purchased was Imagina.co.uk – Sometimes fellow domainers ask how much I focus on hand reg names, so here is the answer 😉
EJH.com – This is my second 3L .com purchase after GRO.com and this is very special acquisition. I know they’re random letters but the special thing is the story behind this acquisition. I actually acquired this domain from a fellow domain investor Insha Zahid @NetworkPearl. He’s currently living in Pakistan and as many of you know that I’ve shifted last year from Pakistan to Malaysia. We discussed and negotiated for this domain and eventually agreed upon certain price.
Insha transferred the domain to me first before the funds were transferred to his bank account. The best thing was that he trusted in me and transferred the domain for which I wanted to mention his name and the detail of this transaction publicly. He’s great guy to deal with and everything went super smooth. I would love to do more business with him in future.
ZADS.com, TTAG.com, GSIH.com, PSLX.com, XCLR.com, PIDR.com, TCLH.com, MSTK.com – I wonder if there is any acquisition post I shared without the 4L .com domains. LOL
BinaryForex.com, BinaryTrader.com – They’re very clear to understand so nothing much to explain but wanted to share anyway.
TheNight.com, ThePodium.com, TheCutting.com, TheCaption.com, TheReed.com – I’m always inclined towards buying “The” keyword domains and they do pretty well. I see them as great brands if you pick with the right keywords. One of the above domain acquisition took almost a year.
CrowdSourced.com, CrowdFunded.com – Crowd is hot keyword and so are these two acquisitions. I really like these 2 domains which perfect fits with “crowd” keyword.
Logixs.com – Such highly brandable domain can be used in many niches.
BlueSolutions.com – “Blue” keyword is always in demand and so is “solutions”. Both together can always make a great brand.
InCity.com – I love to buy such highly brandable domains which can be used for let’s say logistics, properties, residences, news journal, media, travel, etc.
MedicalInnovation.com – Top domain related to medical innovation, medical advancement, journal, etc.
SeedTech.com – A great tech related domain which can be widely used in many different sectors especially technology related.
Earlscourt.com – I admit of not a big fan of geo domains but sometimes I can’t leave a good opportunity coming my way.
PrimeShine.com – Realestate, car wash, laundry, flooring, etc.
UniPet.com – Top brandable domain for pet industry.
Customs.CO, Simplex.CO, HCE.CO – Not many .CO acquisitions mainly because the purchase and carrying cost got lot higher than in past. Because .CO registry labelled many domains as premium and priced it higher so backordering price as well as carrying cost each year is now higher.
Legro.com, CityStories.com, TrinityVision.com, WhiteHope.com, Discordian.com – Some more brandable domains which I won’t add commentary to it and leave up to my readers to give their feedback if any.
Many of those domain acquisitions were private and I heavily use DotDB service for buying domains as it helps in understanding how many potential endusers already exists. So make sure you’re using DotDB and their PRO plan is recommended for which you can get 7 days trial in case you’re not sure if it’s worth it or not.
Feel free to share your recent acquisitions and/or give your feedback on the domain acquisitions.
Thank you for insight into purchases Abdul. I have two questions for you. One is this… without having a subscription to Dotdb is the only information you can get basically how names are currently registered? I see two different numbers shown. One seems obvious the other not so much. The other question is recently someone in the domain arena basically condemned anyone registering a coronavirus domain name. What are your thoughts and would you buy to sell if you saw the option? Thank you very much for your answers.
Hi Cooper! Thank you for your feedback and questions. While using DotDB free version, when I search “abdulbasit” it gives me 36 results and none of the 36 results are clickable. Also you cannot give space between “abdul” and “basit” like “abdul basit” to give you more results as that will show any variants added between the keyword abdul and basit. When you’re logged in, you can click all the links of each extension of results which will take you to the URL of that particular keyword and extension you clicked. For your last question, I think it mostly depends… Read more »
I completely agree with you Abdul bhai. For that matter, covid19.info (not related to me) was sitting at $305 at GD auction last night with one day to go. 🤣
Cool. Thanks for sharing Ashish bhai 🙂
By the way, I wouldn’t buy for investment purpose (covid19.info) 😉
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer questions Abdul you are a very stand up guy and very well the most honest and transparent in the domaining community thank you again!!!
Thanks Cooper for your kind words which is much appreciated.
Always feel free to get in touch if there is anything I can do for you.
Stay safe and best wishes!
Great acquisitions… I think surely would be sold out soon… Abdul bhai it’s really greatness of yours that you share acquisition and sales of yours…. Thank you
Thank you dear. Since I’m long term investor especially for the above purchases so I think it will take years to sell and I doubt of selling all domains in my lifetime. Hahaha.
Some nice domains there.. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you like it Niz 🙂
Also thanks for commenting and being one of the consistent readers of my blog.
Best wishes!
Great names….Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Paul!
Great acquisitions. More importantly, its your thought process which worked behind these acquisitions is pure gold. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Ashish bhai 🙂
I agree with you. I think it takes years of experience and hard work to fine tune ourselves to identity a great domain, select that, negotiate for that and buy at the right price and not overpay.
Stay safe and best wishes!
Perfect… Just wanted to know do you check DA/PA and spam score before acquisition? Thanks!
No, I don’t check DA/PA/Spam score before acquiring any domain.
Some great purchases. I can bet these will convert into sales pretty quickly.
Thanks Aamir bhai for your feedback and having confidence in these domains.
I’ll definitely share the sales especially for the above domains when they happen in future.
Take cares and stay safe 🙂
BommyKnockers.com is one of my unique purchases
MedicinalSmoko.com is another one haha
Thanks for sharing.
May I know your thought process in buying both those domains as I didn’t got it clearly.

hi Abdul Basit.
You have a very good domain portfolio.
I recently acquired 3 domains:
cvcvcv.com
Compactness.com
PAYLATER.NET
what do you think about these 3 domains, please give advice
best regards
presiden.com
Hey Yusup,
I like Compactness and PayLater.net but cvcvcv has very limited potential. Moreover, I like Masak the most 🙂

Wow,
Nice acquisitions. I especially like TheNight.com, BinaryForex.com, BinaryTrader.com and others. High quality acquisitions indeed.
Thanks for your feedback. Good choice of selection 👌
Hey abdul, great names you have here. I’m just a month into domaining and I hope to be like you in future. LOL
By the way, what do you think of Headmics.com, will appreciate your thoughts on it.
Keep up the good work and keep winning💪
Anything is achievable. Do the hard work smartly and you’ll succeed for sure.
Singular version would be better.
Best wishes!
Hey Abdul thanks for the great post. Im wondering usually after yoj purchase such domains whats your sell rate and roi on these? Have you ever calculated over ROI of your portfolio ? Salem !
I’ve never sold a domain for loss so the ROI on those sold domains is always been good. As for overall ROI, I’ve been doing pretty good but not calculated exactly how much in %
For STR, it’s between 2.2%-2.5% and my target is to touch 3% next year.
Thanks!
I really like your portfolio and the reasoning behind your acquisitions. I really like bluesolutions and legros. Please what do you think about Hoseless dot com ? Does it have potentials in the future?
Thanks for your feedback.
That has no to very limited potential.
