My recent domain acquisitions including LLL.com

My-recent-domain-acquisitions-including-LLL.comHello and Assalamo Alaikum,

Yesterday Konstantinos shared some more domain purchases which he made in 2014 and one must check those names as what type of domains to acquire. That may help you in building your own quality portfolio. Below are some of the names I recently acquired:

GRO.com – I think it took too long to acquire LLL.com but finally I did it.

ACFA.com – I used to like LLLL.com but now I must start loving LLLL domains after the sale of BMGL.com 😉

EaMedia.com – Almost paid 1k for this name and once the auction was over, I thought I paid little more than I initially set budget for this domain. However, I feel this can pay off well if I hold the domain for quite some time.

FilaBrasileiro.com – Will leave this one up to you to decide whether this acquisition was good or bad. It’s a dog breed and some developed sites but what impressed me was 60,500 exact searches at Google Keyword Planner.

TheNewton.com – I love “the” word domains.

TheRestless.com – Same as above.

AboveBeyond.com – To me this is a decent brandable domain which can be used for many different purposes. Got for just under 1k.

Nieuwenhuis.com – I love person names. Quite difficult name to spell 😀

Stephane.net – Isn’t this a common name with this spelling too. Although it’s a .net but I still like it.

Papandrea.com – Not as difficult spelling as the couple of above names.

Would love to have your feedback and feel free to share the domains which you recently acquired.

Some of my latest domain acquisitions

Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,

My last post about domain acquisitions was started with a .net domain and I thought to start once again with that trend. But this time I have stopped myself from buying that many .net domains but I found the below domain being exceptional and was good to acquire in my opinion.

PINK.net – Although I paid high four figs for this domain, I still see this as a good investment. Holding the name for the right buyer to come in and knock the door. Couldn’t control myself in buying this top keyword which can be used widely for many different purposes. Joseph Peterson also discussed about this domain here.

Linnet.com – A bird name but can be the brand name for any company like software, nature, travel guide, real estate, flower shop, etc.

TheGarlic.com – I am fond of “the” domains which normally do well. Recently you must have noticed that ThePiano.com sold for $10,000. This one can normally be used for cooking, kitchen and restaurant purpose.

NTHN.com – Being very selective in buying 4 letter domains but this one is really good for someone whose name is Nathan. When I see domains with name and service/product/abbreviations that attracts me more because the probability of selling domain increases.

FitnessLounge.com – Perfect match for any fitness/body building gym and such names do well. Also I have MediaLounge.com.

RobertMartin.com – Two word common names are good to buy. Although most of the time people will offer you less than $100 and gives you the reason for buying domain is to develop personal and not business website on it. Some crazy asking price set by Mike Mann at DomainMarket for his two word names but don’t worry as I will sell it for a bit lower 😉

Rosalyn.com – How can I leave one word name when I cannot leave out two word common names. This isn’t a common name but I still see over 7,000 of people using this spelling in their names at LinkedIn.

MglGroup.com – Such names are to hold for longer period of time than the others but sometimes you can get them cheap and I don’t mind buying them and waiting for some years to sell 3 letter group domains. They do well when the right buyer comes in. You may demand for mid-high four figs or even five figs and I don’t see any serious group of companies will have issues shelling out that kind of money.

SrsGroup.com – Was acquired for a lot more than the above but I saw more potential in this one because it has more decent letters.

Care to share your recent acquisitions and/or give feedback on my purchases… Feel free to comment as I won’t mind whether it’s good or good 😉

My Recent Domain Acquisitions

Some-recent-domain-acquisitions-by-AbdulBasit.comHello and Assalamo Alaikum,

My sincere wishes to every Muslim reader of my blog all over the world a very happy EID Mubarak. Hopefully everyone is enjoying and having loads of fun.

I feel really good sharing my experience no matter it’s good or bad. I receive emails where people ask me what type of names I buy and what are the strategies behind those acquisitions.

I simply buy all type of names which I feel comfortable at selling in future. Normally I avoid buying adult/alcohol/gambling related domains. Other than that I hunt for every name I think can pay off well some day.

So let’s start with some of my recent acquisitions I made in the last couple of months or so.

Steps.net – Oh well a .net! I liked this name. I don’t buy too many .net domains but this wasn’t there to be left off. I paid couple of hundred Dollars less than I won finally this domain. Long story short,  I actually lost the auction but the winning bidder failed to make payment and all his bids were removed and as I was the second bidder, got the domain for $200 less than the first bidder won.

Liaison.net -Another .net domain! That’s enough for today’s list and I have to control myself on buying more .net domains 😉
.com is developed and I see great potential in this name.

GrowthHormones.com – I found this domain from Mark’s domain picks and thanks once again to Mark for sharing this decent name.

CaProperty.com – At first look I thought of Canada/Canadian/California Property, although “CA” can be the initials of many companies dealing in property business.

TheBreastCancer.com – I am fond of “THE” word domains and this can easily be used for breast cancer awareness, fundraiser, research foundation, etc. I think I have now over 10 domains starts with “THE”.

TAEQ.com – Another LLLL.com addition to my portfolio. Looks like an Arabic word to me.

AusCom.com – Can be used for an Australian communication company may be? I see there are many companies out there with Auscom and can be an upgrade for any one of them who pays the most 😉

DanielMorgan.com – Slow in terms of selling for a decent profit but I am starting to like two word common names. Have to be very selective in buying it.

RoseCottage.com – Another upgrade name for many companies.

EyeSeeYou.com – Brandable domain which can be pay off well on some golden day. Not sure when that is going to come…

LasikSpecialist.com – Do I need to explain this one? 😉
