Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,
I think one domain sale a month suits me well. At the very start of this month I completed another sale for $5,000. I know many people who read about my last domain sale were not quite happy when I didn’t disclose the domain name. However, let’s share the name with you this time 😉 The domain was Spadille.com and there was a decent profit made from it. The inquiry came several months back and when I don’t follow up for 30 days the inquiry is automatically assigned to one of the DNS brokers and they try to keep in touch with the potential buyer and gives their best to make it successful sale at the end.
Once again the domain was sold through DomainNameSales.com brokered by Derek Marshall (first sale with Derek) and hopeful to make many more along with him. He handled nicely and I appreciate his support and friendly manner. Also I can never forget Escrow.com from where the deal was completed at the end. One thing I tell my friends that in my country banks get robbed and your lockers are not safe but when you deal with Escrow.com, your money is in safest hands and you don’t have to worry at all 🙂 Thanks DomainNameSales, Escrow.com and the entire teams of both.
Now I would like to share parking stats for August 2014.
Total visitors – 122,000+
Total clicks – 4,500+
Total parked domains – 725
Total revenue – $550
Top 5 niche which made the most – Games, Health, Music, VPN, Music
$$ made on a single day – $35
RPM – $5.17
CTR – 4.8%
There is one domain which is banned by Google and that received 27,000+ visitors with zero clicks and it was all paid per visitor and I have added those visitors in the above stats and excluded RPM and CTR from that. CTR and RPM went down and in actual revenue went down too because I added 25 domains but the revenue remained same so there should be some improvement and I will have to look into this issue as well…
What has been your parking revenue for the last month? Made any sale recently which you would like to share?
Congrats! I found it to be a dictionary word. I think you’re happy with a decent ROI on it. I think along with the cost of owning a domain the waiting period should also be considered to ascertain its profitability. I think a quick flip with a nominal margin is good too.
Thanks Tauseef 🙂
This is another example of a domain which made ZERO in parking revenue since the start of this year although it gets daily visitors. This clears the doubt of people thinking a domain which makes nothing at parking won’t be good enough to sell at decent profit.
Assalamo Alaikum ,
Just wondered how many names you have to compare the stats with mine.
Best,
Fatih.
WaAlaikum Salaam Fatih,
If you can share your stats to compare than we can see…
Salam Alaykum and Congrats,do we have our local Federer in the making.. Barak Allah Feek
WaAlaikum Salaam and thanks Arif 🙂
Federer is one of the top domainer and IMO he is more of a flipper. Although he must be holding some high quality names for decent ROI. Whereas I focus on holding all the names and play waiting game. But this took lot of time and investment to build such portfolio and wait for the right price to sell the domain 🙂
Great sale AbdulBasit and thanks for sharing the details of the domain. You certainly like to keep your sales consistent with these $5,000 sales and with the occasional $375k sale 🙂
Thanks Paul! 🙂
I feel happy to share whatever is possible from my end and eager to learn from fellow domainers including you. Always great to read your blog and it’s a daily reading.
Congrats on a nice sale. If you dont mind can you please share the insight as what made you to register this name as this is not a commercial name and may not have many searches also. You are a good domainer with deep insight of future.
Thanks Mohammed Sameeruddin 🙂
In Google, for Spadille it says “(in the card games ombre and quadrille) the ace of spades.” It can be brandable used for several purposes even though you won’t find too many existing companies with this name. It was a long shot domain and needed to wait for the right buyer to come and eventually found one pretty quickly than expected…
I personally don’t buy domains solely depending on Google exact searches. That is just one factor and I use it just for knowledge and information.
Congrats AbdulBasit.
And thanks for the parking stats.
Thanks Konstantinos 🙂
Hello,
I just parking around 50+ domains and got earned $100+ via parking / month.
Before i thought it was low but after seeing your post, it is big amount !!
you parked 725 domains & earned $550.
Feeling Awesome <3
Hi Ramkumar,
Congrats of making $100+ for around 50 domains. That’s impressive and I am happy for you 🙂
So those names are solely based on parking revenue or do you think can be sold to an enduser in future?
Because the domains I buy are focused for endusers and whatever the revenue they generate is simply bonus for me.
Those are resellable. not only for parking revenue.
Example Domain: I own http://www.LondonVPS.com
This is Generic Domain with VPS keyword.i got an offer for $300 but i reject it because it will fetch more than that 🙂
Impressive! 🙂
Dear Ram Kumar
What is your parking company??
I have 300 domains but no any earning from parking from last three months any body will help me, or advice me some things
Which parking company are you using? I have parked my domains with DomainNameSales.com (DNS) and they pay the most. If they haven’t approved your account yet, I would suggest to try Bodis.com or Voodoo.com and once established with decent revenue and type-in traffic to your domains, you can re-submit your domains with improved quality portfolio to get in at DNS.
السلام علیکم
How many total domain names you are owning??
How many domains name you are selling per month on average??
WaAlaikum Salaam Saeed,
As mentioned I have parked 725 domains. I receive at least 1 inquiry daily but each month my average sale is 1. I don’t rush to sell names and wait for the right buyer to pay the right price. For that, most of the time I need to wait longer than I anticipate but that’s fine until and unless I am getting what I want…
