Recent Domain Sales

recent-domain-salesHello and Assalamo Alaikum,

As mentioned in my previous post where I shared parking revenue for October 2014, I promised to share couple of domain sales I completed last month.

First I sold HomeBird.com for $4,500 which will be soon reported in DnJournal next weekly sales report. I bought this domain in three figs several years back. Transaction was really smoothly done and dusted. Previous to this inquiry for HomeBird which turned into successful sale, I had received a total of 14 inquiries. I never thought of receiving that many inquiries until the deal was completed.

Next sale was out of nowhere really. As you know at the start of this year I have myself stopped contacting endusers and wants them to show their interest in buying my domain. But previously I used to send hundreds of emails trying to sell my domain and one was for the domain Jyden.com which I sold for $2,000. I initially contacted the buyer almost 3 years back but the buyer wasn’t satisfied going through Escrow.com and wanted to send money through bank which was acceptable. Still they had problem and asked if they could send $1,000 in between the domain transfer process and remaining 1k after the domain is transferred to them. I refused and the talk stalled there. I tried to educate them as best and our discussions took place for at least couple of months but of no use…

Last month they came back and wanted to proceed with Escrow.com and I was happy to go ahead and finish off. Not a big sale but it was more of a surprise sale for me. Both domains were acquired some years back in three figs each.

Feel free to share your views on those sales and have you made any sales recently?

Four Figure Domain Sale and Parking Revenue for August 2014

Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,

I think one domain sale a month suits me well. At the very start of this month I completed another sale for $5,000. I know many people who read about my last domain sale were not quite happy when I didn’t disclose the domain name. However, let’s share the name with you this time πŸ˜‰ The domain was Spadille.com and there was a decent profit made from it. The inquiry came several months back and when I don’t follow up for 30 days the inquiry is automatically assigned to one of the DNS brokers and they try to keep in touch with the potential buyer and gives their best to make it successful sale at the end.

Once again the domain was sold through DomainNameSales.com brokered by Derek Marshall (first sale with Derek) and hopeful to make many more along with him. He handled nicely and I appreciate his support and friendly manner. Also I can never forget Escrow.com from where the deal was completed at the end. One thing I tell my friends that in my country banks get robbed and your lockers are not safe but when you deal with Escrow.com, your money is in safest hands and you don’t have to worry at all πŸ™‚ Thanks DomainNameSales, Escrow.com and the entire teams of both.

Now I would like to share parking stats for August 2014.

Total visitors – 122,000+

Total clicks – 4,500+

Total parked domains – 725

Total revenue – $550

Top 5 niche which made the most – Games, Health, Music, VPN, Music

$$ made on a single day – $35

RPM – $5.17

CTR – 4.8%

There is one domain which is banned by Google and that received 27,000+ visitors with zero clicks and it was all paid per visitor and I have added those visitors in the above stats and excluded RPM and CTR from that. CTR and RPM went down and in actual revenue went down too because I added 25 domains but the revenue remained same so there should be some improvement and I will have to look into this issue as well…

What has been your parking revenue for the last month? Made any sale recently which you would like to share?

Five Figure Domain Sale and Parking Revenue for July 2014

Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,

Back from six figure sale to a five figure sale for which I can’t reveal much info other than the sale amount which was $20,000 and it was .com. Once again it was brokered through Jessica Ebanks of DomainNameSales and the sale was completed through Escrow.com. Always pleasure working with DNS team specially Jessica and it was swiftly done with Escrow.com which is the best escrow service.

Coming back to parking revenue of July for which I am publishing the stats a bit late but this is the area which I must focus to achieve one of my another goal for this year. Previous month wasn’t impressive although I didn’t add that many domains to my portfolio. Below is some of the parking stats which might be helpful to you in some way. This time I have added top 5 niches and CTR which was suggested by one of my friend Mohammed Zaki.

Total visitors – 117,000+

Total clicks – 5,000+

Total parked domains – 700

Total revenue – $550

Top 5 niche which made the most – Games, Health, VPN, News, Music

$$ made on a single day – $30

RPM – $5.2

CTR – 5.62%

To add something on above stats, there is one domain which is banned by Google and that received 26,000+ visitors with zero clicks and it was all paid per visitor and I have added those visitors in the above stats and excluded RPM and CTR from that. Also found that clicks have gone up compare toΒ June 2014.

Added few domains in the last month month but instead of improvement, I saw significant decline but I will take that since having a good sale this month. There could be one reason of revenue drop due to summer where possibly advertisers might be keeping their budget tight. Many people are on vacations. I am hopeful to have some improvement this month and if not, I will have to make some changes in categories/sub-categories of domains which receive decent traffic to see if anything gets better…

Have you seen any drop in the parking revenue for the last month? Made any sale recently which you would like to share with us?

Symphony.com sold by AbdulBasit.com for $375,000

Symphony.com-sold-by-AbdulBasit.com-for-$375000Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,

At this great moment, my heartiest thanks to Almighty ALLAH (The Most Merciful and Beneficent) who always strengthen me with firm belief and right guidance, and thanks to my family as well, they are always a great support specially my father who brought me in this business.

AbdulBasit.com sold Symphony.com for US$375,000, a great milestone is crossed as I was hoping to achieve this goal in current year. This domain was registered since 1997.

Credit to Frank Schilling for making great platform in the shape of DomainNameSales.com and the entire team for doing great job all time. This domain was brokered by Jessica Ebanks of DomainNameSales.com. She did fantastically well in closing this deal successfully and is one of the best domain brokers I have ever worked with. The buyer approached us and gave their initial offer in high five figures. After exchanging several emails we were able to wrap up this deal swiftly through Escrow.com.

I wish all the best to the new owner of Symphony.com and hope to see something big coming up.

Your comments are welcome no matter how good or good they are πŸ˜‰
