Best Backlinks Checker Website

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a nice weekend and enjoyed yourselves. Let’s start this new week and new month with knowing the best backlinks checker website. All the findings below are my personal experience and you may agree/disagree with me.

I have been using the following backlinks checking sites for quite some time…

1) MajesticSEO.com
2) Ahrefs.com
3) SeoKicks.de
4) OpenSiteExplorer.org
5) BacklinkWatch.com
6) SmallSeoTools.com/backlink-checker/

The above backlinks site are not in any order and are just randomly added.

Although there are tons of other backlinks website but I have been using limited sites to check backlinks.

Best-Backlinks-Checker-Website1) MajesticSEO.com is nice website which gives you detail about the number of backlinks, referring domains, pages, anchor text, new and lost backlinks in recent times which helps you to determine if the number of backlinks are going away quickly. Stop and research more before you buy that domain. It happens that a domain has tons of backlinks but after buying it the number of backlinks has dramatically gone down. Sometimes those backlinks are paid one’s. As the time period gets over for those ads, the site owner removes it. Another reason you see the links getting removed is that domain is down for quite some time so no site owner likes to keep broken/dead links live on their site. One more reason can be the backlinks you see are from the sister sites of the past owner which has let his domain expire by mistake and eventually you grabbed it. Once he sees the domain is no more in his hands, he removes the links from all his sites. Are you getting my point? πŸ˜‰ Well, there can be many other reasons you see the number of backlinks going down.

2) Next comes Ahrefs.com which is so far the best backlinks checker website for me. I have been using it since last year. If you visit this link which I have used as an example of my domain to show you the number of backlinks this site finds out. One of the best thing is the URL Rank which determines the rank of your URL on several factors and show you.

One more thing I like about Ahrefs.com is this site determines the quality of your backlinks. I will explain it in detail…

For example you check my domain in ahrefs for backlink check. And click on the Total Backlinks. That will automatically list the backlinks by Ahrefs Rank. Now I am not sure how much accurate is their ranking system but they display all backlinks by ranking. The highest rank of backlink is listed first and so on… And looking carefully on each ranked URL you will see their system is giving ranks properly and not randomly. You can also click on any backlink to see if your domain still exists or not. I have randomly checked many times and can find my domain all the time which Ahrefs has listed under Total Backlinks. You can also see the referring domains. I feel this site is accurately checking the number of backlinks on daily basis which can be confirmed here. This link will show you the number of new and lost backlinks for this particular domain.

You can have limited access to their features with free account and can subscribe to their paid version to get more access.

3) SeoKicks.de is not often used by me because of it’s inaccuracy. For example if you check the same domain for backlinks you will see huge difference between SeoKicks and Ahrefs. Comparing both these sites I find Ahrefs far better and shows more number of backlinks.

4) I was using OpenSiteExplorer.org in the past but not any more. I don’t need to write much about them because you will get your answer here. This hardly finds 3 backlinks. Thanks to them for at least finding 3 backlinks compare to over 1,000 backlinks found by Ahrefs for the same domain!

5) BacklinkWatch.com is powered by Ahrefs.com. I feel they fetch the data from Ahrefs but not completely because if you check the backlinks for GiftExperience.com at BacklinkWatch.com you will find it fetches only 496 backlinks and leaves the rest for Ahrefs to find it πŸ˜€ So this shows inaccuracy and don’t give the correct results.

6) Last but not least comes SmallSeoTools which at first impressed me but later when I dig in deeply I found it’s not worth enough checking backlinks for my domains with them. For example if you enter the same domain GiftExeprience.com it shows 200 odd backlinks which is far too less than actual facts. Now let’s take this example – If you enter Property-Investment.com to see the number of backlinks at Ahrefs.com it shows 216 backlinks but SmallSeoTools.com shows 1,070,000. Wohooo over 1 million backlinks for my website! That’s completely inaccurate. To verify simply click on the URL it displays from 1,070,000 and you will NOT find the URL Property-Investment.com on that page.

Although there are hundreds of backlink checking websites but I after using the above sites for quite some time I thought to share my experience with you all about them. To conclude this post I found Ahrefs.com the best backlink checker website so far and using it almost daily.

Feel free to share your experience and let me know what you think about my views.

Why buying domains privately is better than other available options

Why-buying-domains-privately-is-better-than-other-available-optionsHello everyone,

I feel it’s an interesting topic to share and discuss with you.

I have been actively buying domains through auctions like GoDaddy Auctions, NameJet, SnapNames no matter they are expiring, buy out, privately listed, etc. But there is one more way to acquire domains quite easily and without any trouble. That is to buy domains privately.

Now there are few points right now on my mind which makes me feel more comfortable buying domains privately.

1) Chances are to get reasonable price because the seller won’t require to pay any commission to middleman (broker) or any companies like Sedo, Afternic. These companies charge 10-20% commission which sellers must pay so many times if the seller is regular in this business he will up his asking price by 10-20% depending on the platform where the commission structure varies. So once you go directly there is possibility of getting straightaway discount in the range of commission they would be paying to those companies.

2) It’s completely hassle free because buying domains through an auction is to wait till you win the domain. No matter what the time is. Chances are to lose as well because some buyers don’t have idea what the real value of that domain is (reseller value) and overpay for that domain. You can be the victim too by outbidding him and winning the domain. At the end you will pay more than you were willing to and will face difficulties in selling at decent profit.

3) One more important thing while making private purchases is the negotiation tactics. You have to be very patient and never show your desperateness for that particular domain. You know there are few domains I bought privately which took me more than 1 year to acquire from the previous domain owner. The more patient you are and have negotiation skills, the more chances to get that domain with lowered price.

There can be some more advantages of buying domains privately. If you come across any, feel free to share. Also do you agree with me on above points?

Some funny domain inquiries I received in last few days

Hello everyone,

I would like to end this week quite nicely and share couple of funny domain inquiries I received over the past few days…

Some-funny-domain-inquiries-I-received-in-last-few-daysSome time ago I bought an expiring domain through auction… May be through GoDaddy Auctions if I am correct… So last week I was contacted by the possibly previous owner. Now here I am using the word possibly because I am not 100% sure if he was the real previous owner of that domain. So his initial email was in broken English so I will correct and place here:

“This domain is mine and i don’t understand why you propose it”

My response was simply to acquire this name please submit an offer. The funny part came in his next response:

“I don’t propose anything, because, it is my website name !!”

Hahaha. This was really funny reading out. He will not propose anything because he still thinks it’s his domain name. My response was very simple that sorry you are no longer the owner of this domain. The next response was nothing but silence πŸ˜‰

Second funny email was the inquiry about hotel niche domain. There was no message so I asked him to make an offer. There came the biggest offer of US$20 πŸ˜€

I politely told him that five figure offers will be considered.

His response was “hahaha”.

I didn’t respond him because I felt it’s time waste because that domain already makes more than double his initial offer every month. Normally I feel it’s good way to educate potential buyers but not to those who are not serious enough to understand what’s the value of domain name is.

I hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to share your views and any similar funny inquiry you have received over the time.

Thanks for coming and reading.

GoDaddy.com releases new domain control panel / domain manager

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a nice weekend. It was much better weekend for me as I went for fishing with my friends. Overall, it was good.

Okay, back to the topic. I actually found GoDaddy coming up with new domain control panel / domain manager with more great features and user-friendly access. It looks clean and smooth.

new-godaddy-control-panel

I like many things about the new release of domain control panel. One of the best thing is I can see all my domains at once page and don’t require to go on Page 2, 3 and so on.Β  Simply scroll down at the bottom of your domains list and it will show all domains. Also when you click on any domain like it shows in above snapshot you can scroll your move over “More” options to get several shortcuts more quickly. You may click the picture to enlarge it.

Another thing I like is the whole page doesn’t refresh when you make any changes to the domain. Only the domains area gets refreshed and that too very quickly as compare to the previous control panel where whole page used to load and had many complaints of having the control panel operating too slowly. Overall, I am very happy with the new features, the look, swiftness, etc.

And one last thing which was really time saving and cool feature is to find the domain from the starting letter you wish to search. As you can see in the screenshot right at the bottom which says 0-9 A B and so on… If you click on letter “K” it will show the domains start from K. You don’t need to scroll to page 2 or 3 where your domain starts from K.

Have you tried using their new control panel yet? How is your experience and would rate it? Have I missed anything which is more useful feature in their new release?

New record in parking revenue by reaching nearly US$500 for May 2013

New-record-in-parking-revenue-by-reaching-nearly-US$500-for-May-2013Hi everyone,

May 2013 was an amazing month in terms of parking revenue. I wasn’t expecting much because didn’t made any changes or added lot of domains under my account. Very few domains were added in the whole previous month. I think the CPC was nice and saw a touch better CTR as well. Both the combination made just US$450.

My plan is to reach US$1,000 mark in parking revenue for the month of January 2014. I know it’s long way to go and will definitely be a huge achievement for me. I know there are some big boys making one grand every day from parking but I don’t compare myself to them because the number of domains and quality is the difference.

I am happy with my progress with the goal almost half reached. I don’t want to make one month for 1k and next month dropping back to US$600-800 range. Consistency is the key and my plan to hit the US$1,000 mark is to keep making that amount consistently.

Care to share your parking revenue of this month? Also any feedback on my parking revenue?
